Governance Structure
Hinchley Wood Learning Partnership is a Multi Academy Trust. The governance structure is outlined in the Governance Structure Chart.
Five individuals were appointed as members of HWLP on 1st July 2019 for purposes of the Companies Acts and in accordance with Articles 12-18 of the Trust’s Articles of Association (for more about our Members in please go to the Members Section of the website).
The trustees who are appointed to the Trust Board by the Members, are the organisation’s key decision makers. Trustees are both charity trustees and company directors of the Multi-Academy Trust. They are responsible for the general control and management of the administration of the Trust and all the constituent academies and have responsibilities under both the Charities Act 2011 and the Companies Act 2006 (for more about our Trustees, please go to the Trustees Section of the website).
In addition to the above layers of governance (Members and Trustees), the Trust has established Trust Board Committees covering Finance and Resources, Human Resources, Senior Pay (each with their own terms of reference) and an Education Strategy Group. Local Governing Bodies (LGB) have been established for each school fulfilling an advisory function to the Trust Board regarding pupil progress, learning and welfare. Under the LGBs, Admissions Sub-Committees have also been established covering the secondary school and the primary schools. This structure is further explained in the documents below.
